Contact Us Site Map Events: Epilepsy Awareness Month EPILEPSY AWARENESS MONTH March is designated as Epilepsy awareness month. EYR supports awareness of epilepsy not only during this month but all year long. Epilepsy is still largely misunderstood in the general public and educating others of what epilepsy is can help in reducing the stigma attached to the condition. During this month our agency provides educational presentations on various topics to other organizations, clubs or schools within York Region. We are here to help people access resources and information they may need in order to learn more. Displays have been set up in the past at public libraries to provide information and to spread a similar message about epilepsy that our presentations convey. Ways in which you can support epilepsy is by wearing the colour lavender, ribbons or awareness bracelets. Represent lavender not only during this month but all year long. Help us to help others!
